Terms & Conditions
Last updated on 07/24/26
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to services provided by GFR Specialized Junk Removal Services Inc (“GFR,” “we,” “us”), a family-owned junk removal company based in Framingham, Massachusetts, and to your use of gfrjunk.com. By booking a service, requesting a quote, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. We wrote them in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, call us at (508) 474-5026 and we’ll explain it before you book.
1. Quotes and Pricing
Quotes provided by phone, text, or through our website — including quotes based on photos you send — are estimates. Photos can’t show weight, hidden items, or the carry path, so your final price is confirmed in person, on-site, before any work begins. You approve the final price before we lift a thing. If you don’t approve of it, you owe nothing and we part as friends.
Pricing is based on volume (how much space your items take in our truck), weight for heavy materials, labor and access conditions (stairs, long carries, disassembly), and disposal costs. Some items carry additional fees due to how Massachusetts requires them to be handled — for example, mattresses and box springs (banned from standard disposal in Massachusetts), refrigerators and freezers (refrigerant must be recovered under EPA rules), tires, and electronics. We’ll tell you about any item-specific fees as part of your on-site price, not after.
2. Scheduling, Arrival Windows, and Cancellations
We schedule jobs in arrival windows and do our best to honor your selected date and time, though availability may vary. Same-day service is offered when our schedule allows, typically when you contact us before noon. If we’re running late, we’ll communicate — you’ll never be left guessing.
You may cancel or reschedule at no charge with at least [CANCELLATION WINDOW] notice. If we arrive and the job can’t proceed for reasons within your control (no access, items not as described to the point the job can’t be performed, or cancellation at the door after our arrival), we may charge a trip fee, which we’ll disclose at booking.
3. What We Can’t Take
By law and for safety, we cannot accept hazardous materials, including: wet paint, solvents, and chemicals; gasoline, oil, and other fuels; propane tanks and pressurized cylinders; asbestos or materials suspected to contain asbestos; medical or biological waste; ammunition, firearms, and explosives. If you’re unsure about an item, ask before your appointment — in many cases we can point you to the right local disposal option even when we can’t haul it ourselves.
If prohibited materials are discovered mixed into a load after removal, we may return them, dispose of them through an appropriate facility at your cost, or both.
4. Your Items: Ownership and Disposal
By directing us to remove items, you confirm that you own them or have the legal authority to have them removed (for example, as an executor, landlord following lawful process, or property manager). Once items are loaded onto our truck, ownership transfers to GFR, and we may donate, recycle, or dispose of them at our discretion. Please check items before we haul them — look through drawers, pockets, and boxes for documents, valuables, and keepsakes. We are not able to guarantee retrieval of any item after removal.
We sort loads so that usable items go to donation and recyclable materials like metal and wood get recycled whenever practical. We cannot guarantee that any specific item will be donated or recycled, and we cannot guarantee donation tax receipts, which are issued at the discretion of receiving organizations.
5. Access, Safety, and Property
Please provide reasonable access to the items being removed and secure pets during our visit. Our crews are background-checked, uniformed, and trained to protect floors, doorways, and walls during carry-out. We reserve the right to decline or stop work that would be unsafe for our crew or your property — if that happens, you only pay for work actually completed and approved.
We are fully insured, and a certificate of insurance is available on request for buildings and property managers. If you believe our crew damaged your property, tell us on the spot when possible, or contact us within [DAMAGE REPORT WINDOW] so we can make it right. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for conditions we identify and bring to your attention before proceeding.
6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the job unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing (for example, invoiced commercial accounts). We accept [PAYMENT METHODS]. The price you approved on-site is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons.
7. Photos and Reviews
We love showing our work, but we only use photos of a job in our marketing with your permission, which we’ll ask for directly. Photos you submit for quoting are used to prepare your estimate and are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Communications and SMS/Text Messaging Terms
When you request a quote or book a service, you agree that GFR may contact you by phone, text message, or email about your quote and your service.
SMS program. By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from GFR Junk Removal related to your quote, scheduling, appointment reminders, service updates, and customer care. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service — you can always call us instead.
- Message frequency varies based on your quote and service activity.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation of your opt-out, after which you will receive no further texts from us.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (508) 474-5026.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Website Use
The content on gfrjunk.com — text, photos, and design — belongs to GFR and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. We work to keep the site’s information accurate, but content is provided for general information and may change without notice.
10. Liability
We stand behind our work and our crews. To the extent permitted by Massachusetts law, GFR’s liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the job in question, except where the law does not allow such a limitation. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that Massachusetts law grants you and does not allow to be waived.
11. Resolving Problems
If something goes wrong, call us first — (508) 474-5026 — and give us the chance to make it right. That’s how we’ve earned our reviews. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and any disputes will be handled in the courts of Massachusetts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
